The French Revolution.

1) Look back at the information on these sheets. List the reasons why many people in France were critical of a) the nobility; b) the King; c) The clergy.

Many people were critical of this because they owned alot of land but payed alittile taxes.
2) What might a French peasant have grumbled about in 1789?

A French peasent might grumble about all the taxes he is expected to pay and he might be mad at the fact that the nobles and clergy pay either hardly nothin or nothin and they own alot of land and he pays alot and doesnt have much land.
3) Look at source A. Explain what point you think the cartoonist was making. Remember o explain the significance of the three characters, as well as the caption underneath.
I think the cartoonist was making a point that the clergy, and the nobles did nothing while the peasants were left to work hard and suffer."one hopes this will end soon" i think this means the one is the peasent i think he no longer wants to be burried in the burden of dealing with extra work because the upper classes dont have to.
4) How does the author of source B describe the lives of French peasants? (remember: it s not enough to say ‘good’ or ‘bad’ – you need to give examples from the source!)

The author describes the lives of the french peasents as hard they have many debts and instead of paying one person they have three.
5) Study sources A, B and C together. Do these sources explain why poor people in rance resented the rich? Explain your answer using the sources.

Yes this does explain why the poor resented the rich according to the documents provided it portrays the rich as selfish and lazy indivisuals.
6) Rousseau (source D) was an influential writer at this time. Along with other writers oltaire, he wanted France to have a more democratic form of government. Who
would be most influenced by his words and why? (remember to include extracts form
the source in your answer.)
The peasants would be most influenced by voltaires words one reason for this is things would finally be fair.
7) The pamphlet which source D came from was banned in 1775. Why do you think this
was? Which members of French society would want it to be banned?
I think the nobles and clergy banned this document because it represented equality i believe they did not want equality for the simple fct that they would now have to work and pay taxes like everyone else.

Extension 1:
One major thing that is wrong with the society in 1789 is for one part in source b it states that peasants paid the larger part of taxes and they also paid taxes to more than one noble. This was one major reason peasants revolted against france.

The scientific revolution: the scientific method

The scientific method brought about a change in the answers that scientist deliverd this now allowed them to actually test for factuality and, provided proof along with thier thesis. The scientific method was established after year 1500. Before the scientific method many people look to ancient greek and christian scientist such as aristotle, other than that people turned to the bible
After the scientific method many old theories made by older philosophers and scientist began to be proven wrong. Two good examples of the excellent use of the scientific method is one the theory from aristotle that a heavier object dropped from the same height as a lighter object will drop faster, Galileo a more modern scientist that came after aristotle tested his theory and proved it wrong. he founnd out that both objects drop at the same speed. another experiment is aristotle's theory of the gravitational govern of the worldand universe, isaac newton another modern day scientist argued that there were different sets of gravitational pull that governed the earth and many other gravitational pulls that governed the unverse.

Evolution Vs. Creation

evolution: is the process of change in the inherit traits of a population of organisms from one generation to the next.
The theory of evolution is a well quarrled discussion and topic. Many scientist believe that present day man has evolved from other organisms such as animals.

Creation:a supernatural mytho-religious story or explanation that describes the beginnings of humanity, earth, life, or the universe.
The theory of creation is based upon the fact that people believe that the world was crferated in the same way it is by an diety "a religious god".
The belief of Creatiuon is based upon religion as to where evolution is based upon science.
My persanol opinion is they both can be right in a sence even if one of the theory's is correct you still have people with their own beliefs that trust in what they want to.
